It’s Monday morning and I just took my tiny commute to our new office and I’m thrilled to share the finished tour with you. It all started with white paint, and a whole $&*# ton of it. The floor is a white epoxy and the walls, trim, and ceiling is Decorator’s White by Benjamin Moore. From there I found my dream sofa, paired it with a natural jute rug, and ran with it. Enjoy! x
I found this vintage chair on Etsy and high-tailed it down to San Diego to pick it up. I loved the brass base and that it swivels, win win! You might remember the chandelier was actually the very first purchase. I wanted a big ole modern chandelier and Park Studio made the perfect one.
I used a soft palette of mostly neutrals aside from the large dose of pink from the sofa and green of the curtains and plantlife. The sofa easily became the statement piece. To bring just a touch of polish I used clear acrylic console tables as desks as well as a lucite and brass curtain rod and brought in pops of metallic like the copper chairs and metallic touches throughout the room.
I am slightly chair obsessed and when I saw the leather sling chairs from the West Elm x Commune collaboration I knew they were meant to be mine. Similarly so is the vintage Albini round rattan chair that is almost %50 sculptural, %50 chair and %100 amazing. I had been coveting the copper wire chairs for quite some time when I found them on Joss & Main and chalked it up to fate, and quickly added them to my collection.
I couldn’t find a credenza large enough that also didn’t break the bank so I made my own using Ikea’s Besta cabinets as a starting point (DIY to come). Another hack in the room is the coffee table. I had trouble finding one of those big enough as well. I wanted the coffee table to be a meeting place where I could spread presentations out and serve as a more casual conference table. So I used the top of a dining table and arranged cinderblocks in a Y shape to serve as the coffee table base.
The far wall is used as a real life pin board where we have current projects in the works and floating shelves off to the side hold upcoming/current products as well as various tchotchkes and pieces from our limited edition artist collaborations (there’s a new one coming very soon and all I can say is it is SO GOOD. Hint… there is a peek at it here, if you can find it!).
And finally, the wallpaper! I custom designed the wallpaper for the space and had it printed and overnighted to me by the lovely limitless walls, just in time for my studio warming party, but I have some great news for those of you who wanted to get their hands on it. Lulu & Georgia has picked it up and they will be producing this pattern as well as a few more of my designs for a collection of wallpaper to be released soon! I can’t wait to see my paper in some of your homes. xo
P.S. f you want to hear more from me about the space hop over to My Domaine!
